Mizuno Wave Momentum 2
The approach
The brief called for a cinematic showcase of the Wave Momentum 2’s performance features. Rather than framing the shoe against a neutral product background, we developed a concept built around motion and rhythm: a suspended cloud of red and black spheres that orbit, bounce, and react to the shoe as it moves through the frame. The spheres reference the volleyball context without being literal, and they let the shoe become the kinetic centre of its own environment rather than a static object being photographed.
From there we handled the full animation pipeline in-house, from previs through look development, material R&D, animation, and final compositing, working in parallel with the live-action shoot to ensure the CG world and the filmed performance read as one continuous piece.
