Lala &ce No More Time
SuperBlimp supplied the visual effects for Lala &ce's No More Time, a music video directed by Mohamed Sqalli and Marvin Leuvrey for Purple Martin Studio. The film builds a complete dystopian world: an oppressive regime called La Ligne, a vibrant rebel resistance called Le BUT, and a city caught between them, all rendered as a near-future fable.SuperBlimp's role was to extend the directors' practical world with full CG environment work, atmospheric integration, and seamless VFX across the film, helping turn a complex cinematic vision into a finished piece.
The work
The directors built a dense, world-driven music video around the conflict between La Ligne and Le BUT, using practical locations, costumes, and performance to ground the film in something cinematic and tangible. Our role was to take the world they’d captured and extend it: building the dystopian city beyond the frame of the practical shoots, replacing skies and skylines, integrating CG architecture and environment elements into the live-action plates, and finishing every shot to lock the film’s visual tone into a single coherent piece. The challenge wasn’t building one impressive shot. It was matching the lighting, atmosphere, and grade across an entire film so the practical and CG elements would read as a single continuous world, with no visible seam between what was shot and what was added.
